Now Available!

IAPMO Scholarships Now Available
Following up on the resounding success of last year's inaugural competition, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), a worldwide organization of dedicated professionals striving to make our planet a safer and healthier place in which to live, will again sponsor an essay competition awarding scholarships to five young people affiliated with IAPMO and many of its industry partners.

PHCC Educational Foundation Scholarships Now Available

Applications are now being accepted for scholarships awarded through the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation Scholarship Program.  In 2011, up to 18 scholarships totaling $48,000 are available. 


Committees

Our committees are open to all members. Meetings are generally held by conference call, so travel is limited.  Committees include:

Executive Committee

This committee is made up of the officers and immediate past president of the association and serves as a body that makes high-level recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters of staffing and governance. This committee is also charged with responsibility for the relationship between PHCC-WI and PHCC-NA.

Leadership Development Committee

This committee serves as the committee that nominates people for service on the Board of Directors and reviews the qualifications for individuals appointed by the association to various councils and committees. The group also assists with the orientation of new directors and appointees.

Finance Committee

This committee is responsible for preparing an annual budget, reviewing financial controls including the annual audit, and reviewing the performance of the various investments held by the association.

Government Relations Committee

This committee serves as the sounding board for legislative and rule proposals affecting the P-H-C and construction industry as well as the general economy of the state. This committee is responsible for reviewing and presenting testimony on various issues affecting the association and its members.

Convention Committee

This committee is responsible for the selection of the location for the annual convention as well as the planning and execution of the convention.

Communication Committee

This committee is responsible for all of the association’s internal and external communications including the newsletter, magazine, Web site, press releases, and e-mail updates.

Education/Conference Committee

This committee is responsible for the planning of the educational programming for the year including three regional seminars as well as the educational programming for the annual convention. The committee also has responsibility for the fall conference and the site selection for the various Board meetings throughout the year.

Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for recruiting new members to the association as well as retaining existing members. The committee works closely with the Industry Partners Committee on a review of existing member services and the creation of new ones.

Code Book Committee

This committee is responsible for the code book, including reviewing the competition, reviewing the profitability of the code book and update services, discussing ways in which the code book could be improved, and considering ways the code book could be sold in greater quantities.

Awards/Scholarships Committee

This committee is responsible for presenting annual awards and scholarships to those inside and outside the association, including the selection of the Nelson and Hammersmith scholarship award winners. The committee is also responsible for making recommendations of individuals who would be nominated on behalf of the association for various industry awards.

Industry Partners Committee

This committee works to improve the value of association membership through the advancement of relations with our industry partners. The committee also works with the Membership Committee on a review of existing member services and the creation of new services to enhance membership and serves as a liaison to the local associations.
