About the Program/Instructors
Proper testing and maintenance of backflow prevention assemblies is key to preventing contaminants from making their way into the potable water within a building or a public water supply.
This program will cover the theory behind backflow prevention as well as the relevant sections of the code. In addition, the course will teach you how to identify cross connections, decide on the best methods for preventing cross connections, and review the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of backflow prevention assemblies. The program is not product specific.
Rich Davison is the instructor for the program. Rich is a highly sought-after instructor on cross connection control and backflow prevention. He works as a salesperson and trainer for Soderholm and Associates and also works closely with ASPE and ASSE on cross connection and other plumbing-related issues.
$89.00 per person/event for PHCC-WI Member Companies $129.00 per person/event for Non-Members
MP, JP, Commercial Plumbing Inspector, UDC Plumbing Inspectors and Cross Connection Control Testers can earn 6 hours of CE Credit.

Code Book Advertising Program
Just before the plumbing code changed in 2023, we invited our industry partners to place an advertisement in the revised/updated code books. We told you we would sell A LOT of books, and we sure did! We sold nearly 3,000 code books since then!
Well, the code changing again, likely in July of 2026. And that means we expect to sell a whole lot of books again over the next year – well above what we would sell in a typical year.
NOW is the perfect time to place and/or update your code book ad!
When you place a full-page ad on one of our tabs, every time someone goes to use their book, they will see your message. Ads are placed first-come, first serve, starting in the most-used section on the code, SPS 382 (Design, Construction, Installation, Supervision, Maintenance, and Inspection), where there is space for 14 ads. After that, we will place ads in SPS 381, 383, 384, 385, and 386, where there is space for an additional 8 ads. When the tabs are gone, they’re gone.
Here’s what you need to do:
We appreciate your consideration and support. This is a great chance to send a message to the most influential decision makers – designers, supervisors, plumbers in the field, and apprentices with a long career ahead of them. Code books are used every day for five years, ten years, and more before they are replaced. Your ad will have a long shelf life, with lots of repeat views. It will be a constant reminder of your support for the industry and the PHCC-Wisconsin Association.
